Tanker Driver Brutally Murdered by Armed Men Who Tried to take over His Truck

The petrol tanker driver was killed by armed robbers 

A petrol tanker driver has lost his life in strange circumstance today after some dare-devil armed robbers allegedly killed him while trying to divert the petrol tanker.


The petrol tanker with plate number SHA 592 XA Kwara was sighted at Asejire area, along Ikire-Ibadan expressway where men of the Nigeria security and civil defence Corps confronted the hoodlum. The motor boy was rescued in the process.

Speaking on the incident a source said that, "the driver had already been killed by the time our armed squad patrol van got to the spot."

The source further added that, "Immediately they saw the officers and men of the Corps approaching, they took to their heels. "The other man who looks like a motor boy was rescued."

"Investigation is on-going on how to apprehend the armed robbers and the Commissioner of Police had been informed while the officers of the Nigerian police had removed the dead body from the scene in the early hours of today."
